Beyonce Knowles is to begin a national search for musicians to join her all-female band on her upcoming world tour.
The pop superstar has announced plans to hold a series of auditions across America this coming Monday, in cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Prospective musicians do not have to read music, but should be able to play by ear, and must be over 18 and female. They are also required to play "Work It Out" as performed on the Beyonce: Live At Wembley DVD and perform a one-minute solo.
Auditions will be held with Beyonce's creative team, with a final performance before the former Destiny's Child star herself in New York City the week of June 12.
Beyonce is expected to release her second solo album, B'Day, on September 4, to coincide with her 25th birthday.
Mariah Carey will travel to the World Music Awards on a £10,000 private flight.
The singer is appearing on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor’ on Saturday night (08.11.08) so organisers have chartered the special plane to get her to the 20th annual ceremony in Monaco which takes place on Sunday (09.11.08).
Mariah will be joined by husband Nick Cannon on the journey which will see them lavishly treated.
