The maternal instincts of Britney Spears have been fodder for constant columns in the press and jokes by late-night comedians. Now that she's pregnant with a second child, the pop starlet knows that the attention won't be going away any time soon, so she's decided to improve the team around her, replacing the nanny who was reportedly on duty when baby Sean Preston tumbled out of his chair. The new nanny is a "manny," a former Navy cadet and lacrosse coach named Perry Taylor.
That Taylor is a handsome 28-year-old isn't helping quash the ever-present rumor that Spears and hubby Kevin Federline are on the verge of divorce. Taylor's mother Caroline tempted fate by telling TMZ that there's no chance that her son will have a romantic relationship with Spears, as he already has a "bombshell" girlfriend of his own.
The cadet's mama also takes issue with her boy being called a "manny." "Actually, he's more of a bodyguard," she says. Taylor had hoped to spend time in Iraq or Afghanistan as a private contractor after his time in the Navy expired; instead, he'll be spending time in Malibu.
Spears also told NBC's Matt Lauer in a new interview that her marriage with K-Fed is "awesome," and explained the incident when she was caught driving with Sean Preston on her lap by saying, "I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country."
Meanwhile, as proof that interest in all things Britney is still going strong, Internet casino company Goldenpalace.com purchased an authentic Spears-Federline wedding invitation on eBay for $2,150, adding it to their impressive Spears Collection, which reportedly includes a home pregnancy test and a pacifier used by an infant Brit.
'It's not just hip-hop, and that's the thing that makes me mad,' MC says of finger-pointing after Imus incident.

For instance, on her forthcoming album, Here I Am - her first project in five years, due August 7 - the Philly native ditches the fierce raps (almost) and goes into R&B mode on the Pharrell-produced "All Night Long."
Amy Winehouse has taken up Buddhism.
The troubled star - who doctors reportedly fear could be brain damaged after a recent cannabis overdose - has been inspired by singer Tina Turner to seek solace in the religion.
The 24-year-old singer chants Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, a form of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Amy was introduced to Buddhist chanting by one of her musicians. She chants for 10 minutes in the mornings a read more
