Britney Spears was reportedly planning last week to follow Angelina Jolie's lead by giving birth to her new baby in Africa. But now the Associated Press, which published the original report, said the story might actually be false. A Namibian tourism official said Saturday (June 17) that he may have been fooled into believing that Britney and her husband Kevin Federline were planning to have their second child together in Africa this fall.
Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister Leon Jooste said, "Somebody told me that she (Britney) is interested in coming to Namibia and that they would contact me in the next two weeks." Now Jooste says the phone connection was poor, so he didn't get the source's contact information, but will invite Britney to Namibia anyway. Britney's rep said that the story is "not true."
At the time Jooste said, "She has shown interest to come over to Namibia. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is a definite possibility of that happening." But Britney's rep quickly dismissed the rumors, saying, "Not true."
