Kylie Minogue has said she and her family "fell to pieces" when she learned she had breast cancer.
The singer of hits including "I Should Be So Lucky" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head" made the remarks during an interview to be broadcast by Britain's Sky television on July 16.
"The moment my doctor told me, I went silent," the 38-year-old said in excerpts released by Sky.

"My mum and dad were with me. Then we all fell to pieces. I was saying, 'No, dad, I'm getting a plane.' He said, 'No, you're not getting a plane. You'll sit down."'
The interview will also include extracts from a video diary Minogue made while undergoing treatment for cancer.

She was diagnosed with the disease in May 2005 and had to postpone a series of concerts in Australia. Her touring company announced last month that she would return to the stage to complete the renamed "Showgirl Homecoming Tour" in November.
