Ricky Martin will have his own MTV Unplugged. The Puerto Rican superstar has been unveiled as the featured act in the newest MTV Unplugged series to be produced by MTV Latin America in conjunction with MTV Tr3s, the network's U.S. Latin channel.
Martin's Unplugged will be the 19th MTV Unplugged for MTV Latin America, and the first for MTV Tr3s. The special will be taped in Miami in August and will debut in November on MTV Latin America, MTV Tr3s and MTV Puerto Rico.
It will also be available in more than 100 MTV channels worldwide and some broadcast networks. A CD and DVD is slated for release on Sony BMG in November.
Other artists who have been featured in MTV Unplugged programs include Shakira, Mana, Alejandro Sanz and Argentine pop singer Diego Torres, who recorded the last MTV Unplugged for MTV Latin America in Argentina.
Craig David is about to receive an honorary doctorate from Southampton Solent University.
The doctorate will be presented for his work in the music biz.
David is 27-year old. He released his first album 'Born To Do It’ when he was 18. The album featured 'Fill Me In’, '7 Days’ and 'Walking Away’.
