Jennifer Lopez has reportedly dropped out of the film version of the long-running TV series, Dallas. The star was supposed to play alcoholic Sue Ellen, opposite John Travolta's portrayal of JR Ewing. Although J.Lo's publicist confirmed she would no longer be in the film, no reason was given for her departure.

Nelly Furtado is having an amazing 2006 so far. The pop star's latest album, Loose, has been a huge worldwide hit. And now her single, "Promiscuous," has just spent its sixth week at the top of the Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart. The song, featuring Timbaland, is now the longest #1 since Kanye West's "Gold Digger."

Madonna wants to help orphaned children in Africa. She told Time magazine she feels responsible for the children of the world. Madge has pledged to raise at least $3 million in aid for Malawi. There are an estimated one million orphans in that nation, and many are plagued by Malaria and AIDS.

According to TMZ.com Dr. Dre and Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine have filed a lawsuit against a Delaware based company over an oral breach of contract.
Filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the suit alleges that SLS International, Jibe Audio, Pentgram Design Inc. and Steve Lamar failed to honor an agreement they had with Dre and Iovine , to "manufacture,
market and distribute a line of headphones" with the given marketing title "Beats By Dr. Dre."...

Kanye West is set to take part in The Rolling Stones' North American tour this fall titled' A Bigger Bang'.
West will serve as an opening act for the rock group on their first three dates at Boston's Gillette Stadium (September 20); Halifax, Nova Scotia's Halifax Commons (September 23); and East Rutherford, New Jersey's Giants Stadium (September 27).
