Dreamgirls star Beyonce Knowles is the new face and voice of the Giorgio Armani fragrance Emporio Armani Diamonds.
The singer will appear in both print and television advertising singing her own rendition of a classic American song.
"They have known each other for seven years, and Armani feels Beyoncé represents the glamor and glitz of the fragrance," reports the New York Post. Emporio Armani Diamonds is slated to hit shelves in September.
L'Oreal, Armani's beauty licensee, is currently a co-sponsor of Beyonce's world tour, "The Beyonce Experience." Beyonce's tour will be hitting North America starting on July 6 at New Orleans' Superdome for the Essence Music Festival and will continue to run throughout September.
In related news, the Dreamgirls DVD earned $32 million in sales and rentals during its first week on shelves to top the national DVD sales charts released last Wednesday (May 9).
