Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Score, Bobby Valentino Gets "Special" Treatment, Dipset Add A Lil' "Suga"
In this week's Hip Hop & R&B charts, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony debut on top, Bobby Valentino follows close behind and Ne-Yo slides. Debuting at No. 2 on the charts this week is Bone Thugs N-Harmony with their seventh group album titled Strength and Loyalty. The album, which features appearances from Mariah Carey, Twista and Akon, scans 119,500 discs in its opening week. Right behind them is Bobby Valentino entering the charts at No. 3. Special Occasion, which features appearances from Fabolous, Timbaland and Ludacris , shelves off 92,000 CDs in its first week. Ne-Yo, who debuted at No. 1 last week, slips four slots to No. 4. Because Of You shifts 88,900 discs in its second week. So far the album has sold a total of 340,600 copies. Sliding one spot to No. 12 is Akon. Konvicted continues to keep cash registers ringing as it moves 38,100 units this week. The album's tally stands at 2,312,500. Also going down a step is Amy Winehouse at No. 14. Back To Black shells out 35,600 discs this week, bringing the album's total sales to 366,400 after nine weeks. Robin Thicke floats a level up to No. 16. Evolution Of Robin Thicke has moved 1,076,840 copies thus far, with 31,100 representing the week-in total. Holding on to the No. 18 spot is Fergie. 27,100 folks picked up Dutchess this week, pushing the album's tally to 1,870,960. Justin Timberlake moves four steps to No. 17. Future Sex/Love Sounds sells 27,000 more discs in its 35th week on the charts. To date, the Memphis bred crooner has sold a total of 3,227,800 copies. Six slots below is Beyonce at No. 25. B'Day is still a proving to be a hot seller as it rings out 23,200 copies this week. The total for the album reads off at 2,667,500. Debuting at No, 26 is Dipset A&R DukeDaGod's More Than Music Volume 2. The compilation, which features all of The Diplomats affiliates, including Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, pushes 23,000 copies in its opening week. more on sohh.com |
