Ozzy Osbourne is the latest pop-culture icon to lend a song to the pinnacle of video game soundtracks, Electronic Arts' "Madden" franchise. Gamers will be able to listen to his new single, "I Don't Wanna Stop," in "Madden NFL 08," which releases across all platforms August 14.
The single is from Osbourne's first new album in six years, "Black Rain," which hits stores Wednesday (May 23).
Last year's "Madden NFL 07" sold more than 7 million copies and was the No. 1 selling game in North America. The franchise has sold more than 60 million copies and generated more than $2 billion in revenue over the past 18 years.
In addition to working with such established acts as Green Day, Foo Fighters and Snoop Dogg, EA Trax has helped launch the careers of such artists as Good Charlotte, Jet, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, Arctic Monkeys and Fabolous.
