Celebs rock turquoise mini-dresses, animal prints and trendy sneakers at laid-back show.
When it comes to Movie Awards style, anything goes. And this year, the stars took a cue from the red carpet and shined bright in hot pinks, bold blues and other amped-up hues.
Not to be outdone by the magenta carpet at the Movie Awards, celebs like Mandy Moore and "Transformers" star Megan Fox shined bright in hot pink. "We did not do it on purpose at all," said "High School Musical" star Monique Coleman, who wore a short-and-sweet pleated magenta dress.
Shades of turquoise ruled the carpet. "The Hills" star Whitney Port accented a short silver frock with bright blue heels, while "SNL" funnyman Andy Samberg rocked turquoise-and-white sneakers.
Vanessa Hudgens turned heads in a floor-length Hawaiian-print dress in turquoise, lime green and cream. "Everyone's looking for something different and vibrant, so turquoise is the way to go," the "High School Musical" star said. "Not everybody can pull it off, but it's definitely a hot color."
Also going bold with prints were celebs like Victoria Beckham, Rihanna and Eva Mendes. Meagan Good wore an über-short Fifi LaRue printed frock complete with a pocket. "I'm usually very inappropriate, so this is the one place I get to be appropriate no matter what I'm wearing," the "Stomp the Yard" stunner said. "But I call this my Betty Boop dress because it's so short. I love it, love it, love it. I think it's all about prints this summer. They're just fun and bold and energetic. They fit the vibe."
When it comes to guys, anything goes on the red carpet. There was nary a tie in sight - except for Shia LaBeouf and Zac Efron's super-skinny numbers - but celebs like Josh Duhamel, Jay-Z and Sacha Baron Cohen went casual-cool in summer suits, while Robin Williams paired a classic kilt with a hard-rocking belt. Best Performance award winner Johnny Depp worked his old-school style in jeans, paired with his signature plaid shirt tied around the waist.
