Label says Labor Day holiday complicated previous September 4 release date.
50 Cent's new album is on the move yet again.
The release date for Curtis is being pushed back one week: from September 4 to September 11, the MC's label, Interscope Records, announced on Friday (July 13). In a press release, the label said the reason for the delay is because the previous date falls too close to the Labor Day holiday on September 3, and "the decision was made to push the release one week so that it is available everywhere at 10 a.m. on day of release."
You may recall that a few weeks ago the album was moved from its original release date of June 26 due to some last-minute songs and the MC's desire to release the LP all over the world simultaneously. Of course, the album is the first of two the MC currently has in the works.
50's new video, "I Get Money," debuted Friday afternoon on New York radio station Hot 97's Web site and within minutes had found its way onto other Web sites. In the clip, 50 performs with his son, DJ, a slew of models and G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Mobb Deep, among others. As you can imagine, stacks of moolah are shown throughout.
50 called in to Hot 97 on Friday afternoon. When asked if he had any comment for his fans, he replied: "I told y'all I'm hot, baby. They killin' me, man! It's all good."
50 also has another song on the radio called "She Wants It," which was produced by Timbaland and features Justin Timberlake. Interscope says a video for that track is forthcoming.
Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton had a huge cat-fight at Timbaland's pre-Grammy party on Saturday (09.02.08).
The hotel heiress and the 'Mean Girls' actress, who used to be close friends, both attended the producer's bash at Hollywood nightclub Avalon and were not happy to see each other. Sources claim Lindsay pointed at Paris and said: "What the hell is that b***h doing here? I didn't know she was on the list." To which, Paris replied: "F**k off you b***h." read more
