In preparation for their latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, , which will be out on September 25,Foo Fighters will be playing one night at New York's The Fillmore (formerly Irving Plaza) next week on September 20. The Foos have just extended those dates to include performances in Atlanta, New Orleans and Atlantic City.
Foo Fighters also made a standout appearance last week at this year's MTV VMAs with their hotel "party" room live set. In addition to playing tracks of their forthcoming album, the rockers teamed up with Gnarls Barkley singer Cee-Lo for a cover of Prince's "Darling Nikki" as well as jamming with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, Mastadon and System of a Downs Serj Tankian.
