Queens-bred rapper Nas will headline the Sneaker Pimps stage in New York City this Friday (October 12) as the shoe gurus showcase the latest vintage, rare and limited kicks.
The hip-hop heavyweight will be joined by old school staples EPMD, Slick Rick and Jeru the Damaja.
Sneaker Pimps is the world's largest touring sneaker lifestyle show, features over 1000 pairs of rare, limited edition, vintage, celebrity signed, artists collaborated sneakers and a collection of sneaker inspired artwork, fashion and photography.
The show has been to more than 62 cities across the globe and is coming back to rock NYC.
This weekend's event will also feature a live skate demo by 5BoroNYC and live graffiti artist installations by Stash, Haze, Lady Pink, and the Irak crew, among others.
The event will be held at the Roseland Ballroom, located at 239 West 52nd St in Manhattan. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are going for $25 presale, $30 at the door. Presale tickets are available at ticketmaster.com. 18 and over, only.
Alicia Keys, Usher, Jennifer Lopez and Ludacris are among the artists slated to hit the stage for Fashion Rocks 2007.
The fourth annual event, which commemorates the union of fashion and music, will be held September 6 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Jennifer Hudson, Fergie and Avril Lavigne are also listed as performers on this year's musical line up. read more
