Kevin Federline is set to oppose Britney Spears' emergency court motion to adjust the details of her child visitation rights, dismissing the action as unnecessary.
The pop superstar, 25, lost physical custody of her two young sons to Federline last week, after she was revealed to have snubbed a series of court-imposed demands.
Spears, who is currently only permitted monitored visits to see Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James, filed the appeal on Wednesday-just one week after Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon made the decision over the children's custody.
But Federline aims to make his objections to the motion clear on Thursday, when his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan appears before a judge.
Kaplan says, "I don't see any emergency or any new facts (in the case). We are going to oppose this."
The lawyer also stated Federline will not be appearing in court on Thursday, because his presence is unwarranted in this motion.
Kaplan adds, "When there is something of substance being addressed, he'll be there."
