While R&B superstar Usher definitely has a new baby on the way, industry insiders can't say the same for the new album he was reportedly working on.
According to New York Post's Page Six, plans for Usher to deliver a fifth studio album this November have been put on hold. "It's not happening anymore" thanks to "issues in his personal life."
Sources for the Post place the blame on Usher's new wife Tameka Foster-Raymond.
"Usher only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher's focus to be on her and the baby," the source said.
The couple wed this August and are expecting a child later this fall. Usher recently announced the sex of their soon-to-be-born infant - telling entertainment news show "Extra" that he and Foster-Raymond will be welcoming a boy.
Album delays could spell trouble in other areas for Ush, since his recently launched men's and women's fragrances were timed to coincide with the new project.
"The album had been in the works for over a year," the insider added. "He put it on the back burner when Tameka got pregnant... now it looks like it's never going to happen."
The album would have put an end to Usher's three year hiatus from music. His last album Confessions was released in March 2004.
