Not to be outdone by his SoundScan rival, Kanye West offers some insight into his own forthcoming page-turner, just days after 50 Cent released his latest book, 50 x 50: 50 Cent In His Own Words.
Kanye is also following in his mother's footsteps, with Thank You And You're Welcome!, his book that drops in January. Kanye's mother, Dr. Donda West, released Raising Kanye earlier this year. And now the Chi-town rapper has teamed up with co-author J. Sakiya Sandifer to pen a paperback of his own stories and quotes.
Unlike 50's book, which is autobiographical, Ye calls his book a collection of "'Kanye-isms' - the creative, humorous and insightful philosophies and anecdotes used in creating my path to success," he described in an entry on his official blog. "It captures the same wit, playful irony, and piercing insight found abundant in my lyrics. In Thank You And You're Welcome! I deliver my personal message uncensored, without any five-second delay or media distortion."
Kanye entrusted Sandifer to make that message clear. The rapper is a fan of his co-author's work and reviewed Sandifer's previous book, Think, Think, Think, and Think Again: The Power of Ideas Designed to Spark Change.
"After reading some of the early sample pages from Think, Think, Think, and Think Again, I was convinced this book was destined to be a New York Times best-selling classic," Ye wrote.
Kanye promised to post some sample pages of his own book on his blog within a week.

Kanye West has been accused of plagiarism during a hearing at the New York District Court in Manhattan.
IOF, a New Jersey group, have said that West, along with rapper Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, stole the lyrics and beats from their song 'Straight Like That', to create the 2003 hit 'Stand Up'.
