Amy Winehouse was visited by Sadie Frost at 6am yesterday morning (05.12.07) after she tearfully phoned the designer.
Sadie reportedly got a distressed call from Amy - who is said to be "distraught" that husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently in London's Pentonville Prison - and dashed to her new house in Bow, east London, to lend her a shoulder to cry on.
A source said: "Amy is feeling really down at the moment. She is still using drugs and is struggling to cope without Blake.
"She has known Sadie for a few years. Sadie has a lot of life experience, and is always happy to give advice to her friends. She went to see Amy and talked to her for two hours. She left at 8am."
Sadie, who was previously married to actor Jude Law, isn't the first celebrity to visit Amy in the middle of the night.
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty popped round at 4am on Monday morning (03.12.07) to help Amy move from her Camden house to her new residence.
Amy's friends are said to be worried by her close friendship with troubled drug addict Pete. One friend said: "The last thing Amy needs at the moment is to be around someone with such an obvious problem with drugs. She needs her true, clean friends around her to help her through this difficult time."
Amy's husband Blake is currently awaiting trial in Pentonville Prison on charges of assault and perverting the course of justice.
