Eminem Begins Recording New Album

minem, aka Marshall Mathers, aka Slim Shady, phoned in to New York City's Hot 97 radio station this morning to reveal that he has begun the recording process of what will be his first record in three years. According to Billboard.com, Eminem told the station, "For a while, I didn't want to go back to the studio...I went through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."

Album allows MC to 'go off and create with other artists and experiment a little bit.'
A few years ago, 50 Cent quarterbacked an unofficial remix of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River," adding some raps to the song and releasing it to mixtapes. Eminem's record labels are being sued by the producers that first discovered him for a series of back royalty payments.
The lawsuit claims Aftermath, Interscope and others owe F.B.T. Productions and Em2M LLC. in excess of $1 million because Em's current record label miscalculated the royalties due them.
The lawsuit goes on to suggest that the record company admitted guilt last year but still haven't made any payments.
