Kelly Rowland says Madonna is allowed to be a diva.
The former Destiny’s Child singer insists the pop superstar, known for her outrageous demands, should be able to ask for whatever she wants because 'she’s freakin’ Madonna'.
Kelly said: 'Madonna can have anything she wants. If she only wants red Skittles then get her red Skittles, she's freakin’ Madonna! And if she wants a huge trailer, get her a huge trailer.'
Madonna reportedly enraged fellow artists and organisers at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Maidstone, Kent, on Saturday (10.05.08), by insisting on having special Kabbalah water backstage and requesting a private helicopter to take her to the event.
The 49-year-old singer’s 70-strong entourage are also said to have demolished the free food and alcohol provided for the other artists performing, which included Kelly, The Kooks and Nelly.
A source said: 'While Madonna only ate fresh fruit, the same can’t be said of her friends. They arrived early and wolfed down free food and alcohol reserved for all the artists.'
The performance was Madonna’s third show to mark the release of her latest album, 'Hard Candy’, following shows in New York and Paris.
