With more than one million tracks iD’d each week by Shazam users; the world’s leading mobile to web music services provider, Shazam unveils a weekly UK Top 40 iD Chart - a strong indicator of future hit singles.
Ne-Yo’s new single Closer climbs to the top of the ShazamiD chart after featuring highly for several weeks. The song is certain to be a hit on its 30th June release after being iD’d by thousands of Shazam users across the country more than a month ahead of it’s official release.
The Ting Tings feature in the Shazam iD chart twice this week with their number one UK hit That’s Not My Name at number 19 and single Shut Up And Let Me Go entering the chart at number 31 after featuring in Apple adverts across the world. After their first single, Great DJ was voted best indie track of 2008 by Shazam users in March and Shut Up And Let Me Go looks set to follow.
Shazam’s chart for Monday 19th May to Monday 26th May 2008 is based on thousands of music fans across the UK using the Shazam to 'iD’ their favourite tunes with their mobile phone.
