After catching heat for negative statements made against Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, hip-hop mogul Diddy has come forward to praise her recent acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC).
In a video clip released earlier this week, Diddy was caught apologizing to the Alaska governor for jokingly questioning black people’s presence in her home state and calling out her inexperience with minorities. After Governor Palin Made a rousing speech at the RNC on Wednesday night (September 3) in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Bad Boy CEO applauded the hopeful’s fortitude via his video blog.
“You had the pressure of the world upon you, 34 million people watching you,” Diddy said. “You looked us in our eyes and you did your thing, you know. You gave a pretty good speech.”
Admitting he learned his lesson for “not giving [Palin] the benefit of the doubt,” Diddy also commended Palin on helping him keep quiet.
“You gave a speech that, basically shut me the f*ck up for the whole time you were speaking,” he confessed. “It came across extremely strong, extremely charismatic—somebody I would wanna play hockey with.”

“I still don’t know if I want you to be vice president, but you at least deserve the benefit of the doubt to see how you do on this campaign,” he added. “That’s the bottom line. You shut me the f*ck up.”
Palin made history last week when Senator John McCain announced her as his running mate, becoming the first Republican woman to run for vice-president on a major party ticket.
