Beyonce' says she had to go into the darkest part of her mind to play James, and that took a toll after a while. She would be crying all day and all night for the part, and when she'd go home, she'd be in a funk.
Beyonce' even visited a rehab clinic in Brooklyn and talked to the addicts so she could understand James' struggles with drugs.
She felt it was worth it because she says James sang from her heart and "you could hear everything she felt." "Cadillac Records" opens today.
