 50 CENT is set to pay tribute to Michael Jackson on what would have been the King of Pop's 51st birthday.
The rapper has signed up to perform at a theme park benefit show in New Jersey on August 29 which will help raise cash for the rapper's G-Unity Foundation.
He also revealed that he has dedicated his latest mixtape, Forever King, to the late pop superstar - and changed the project's artwork and some of the rhymes and lyrics to honour Jackson, who died on 25 June (09). |

 50 CENT has revealed that he is set to revive Robbie Williams career by recording a duet with him.
The US rapper said he really wanted to work with the former Take That star and hoped to get him in the studio soon.
The pair had originally tried to record together in 2007, but were forced to scrap their plans at the last minute.
Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival, where he was promoting his new film production company Cheetah Vision, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, 33, said he was now trying to clear up his schedule. |

 "Blood In The Sand" 50 Cent's high anticipated new video game, has been picked up by developer THQ and will be released in "early 2009.
According to THQ VP Brad Carraway "50 Cent is a cultural icon and one of the biggest names in hip-hop." The game features the G-Unit leader's current crew including Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid.
The new game is the high octane follow up to 50's hugely successful first game "Bulletproof." |

50 Cent overtakes Jay-Z as Cash King |

 50 Cent has overtaken Jay-Z to be named the Hip-Hop Cash King of 2008.
The 'Candy Shop' singer topped the new list, compiled by Forbes.com, after making a staggering $150 million in the last 12 months. The musician's impressive earnings - mainly down to Coca-Cola buying out his stake in VitaminWater - ensured he shot straight to the top of the rankings, beating former King Jay-Z, who made $82 million.
50, real name Curtis James Jackson III, also owns G-Unit Clothing Company and has teamed up with Right Guard to launch a body spray and a line of condoms.
He has also starred in a number of movies, including ' Get Rich or Die Tryin'' and 'Home of the Brave'. Runner-up Jay-Z made his fortune by releasing a platinum-selling album and signing a 10-year deal with concert promoter Live Nation worth a reported $150 million. |

On January 9, Prodigy will begin serving a three-and-a-half year jail sentence for weapons charges , a result of police pulling the rapper's vehicle over last October and finding a gun inside. Prodigy says the time in lockup will actually help him re-focus after working nonstop for the past 15 years.

 Rapper Prodigy was in a Manhattan court yesterday (October 4) on gun possession charges following his arrest last fall.
Last October, police found a .22-caliber handgun in the rapper's bulletproof Chevy Suburban after they pulled him over for making a U-turn and heading the wrong way down a one-way street.
According to the New York Post, the two police officers testified yesterday that after stopping the vehicle, they saw Prodigy's hand either on or near the open center console door. |

50 Cent Responds To SoundScan Loss To Kanye West |

 50 Cent recently released a statement in response to his loss in the chart race against Kanye West.
West's Graduation debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 by shifting 957,000 copies of his discs. 50's Curtis came in at No. 2, selling 691,000 copies.
Prior to the release of their albums last week, 50 told SOHH that he would retire if he was outsold by Kanye. On the eve of the Nielsen SoundScan figures, the G-Unit boss would claim that Kanye's record label, Def Jam, manipulated the sales.
50 did not address his retirement vow or the foul play accusations in his conciliatory statement. |

 50 Cent reportedly had to cut a Las Vegas concert short on Saturday (September 8) because of a collapsing stage.
According to The Las Vegas Review Journal, 50 was performing on a stage over the Hard Rock Hotel pool which was surrounded by electrical equipment and the audience was pushing hard against the stage nearly bringing the front end down into the water.

50 Cent Brings G-Unit to Jamaica, Headlines Reggae Sumfest |

 50 Cent is scheduled to headline the Ignition concert at the Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Jamaica on July 21.
The roster will also include Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Olivia, Mobb Deep and dance hall artists like Lady Saw, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Elephant Man, Baby Cham, Mr. Vegas and Capleton, among others.
"Red Stripe is responsible for bringing 50 Cent to Jamaica for Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest," Carlo Redwood, Red Stripe's Group Marketing Manager, said in a statement. "Our decision to push for his inclusion in the line up this year grew out of our commitment to make this reggae show, the world's greatest and Jamaica's best. We thought that including the rap star that many admire and love, would only add to the explosive talent at this year's showing. |
