The 46-year-old singer, who made his name in the pop band alongside Andrew Ridgeley in the 80s, claimed it would be impossible to re-capture the feel of the group 20 years later.
He said: 'Wham! was about being young and exuberant and you can’t recreate that feeling at a certain age.
'Andrew Ridgeley and I are still good friends but I’m afraid we’ll never get back together. We both agree on that.' |

Michael Jackson's 'Captain EO' to return to Disneyland |

`Captain EO`, the 3D movie Michael Jackson made exclusively for Disneyland in 1986 will return to the theme park in February 2010.
'Captain EO’ was a Disneyland feature from 1986-1997.
Disney Parks have confirmed the 17-minute 3D attraction will return in February to give fans that have never experienced it one last chance to witness the performance.
Disneyland will put 'Captain EO’ back on where it was originally shown, in Tomorrowland. |

The 46-year-old singer – who has sold over 100 million records worldwide – gets embarrassed when he sees the outfits and hairstyles he used to have as a younger star when he shot to fame in the 80s.
George – who was joined in Wham! by Andrew Ridgeley - said: 'When I see myself. I cringe mostly! Take that blonde hair. I wanted to have long, blonde, straight hair because I didn’t really want to be me. So the short, dark, curly hair had to go. |

George Michael has recorded `December Song (I Dreamed of Christmas)` and is giving the song away as a gift for fans.
The track comes 24 years after his release of 'Last Christmas’ with Wham.
The song made its debut on the last two nights of George’s UK tour. At the time, it was thought that the shows would be George’s last.
However, since then, he has announced a one-off show in Abu Dhabi later this week (December 1) at the Zayed Sports City Stadium. |

George Michael to play in Middle East |

George Michael is to perform in the Middle East – after recently announcing he had played his final live show.
The 'Careless Whisper’ singer was said to be retiring from performances following the end of his world tour at the end of August, but now he is reportedly set to land £1 million for playing an exclusive concert at Abu Dhabi’s lavish Emirates Palace venue, where tickets are expected to go on sale for around £200.
As well as the massive pay cheque, George, 45, will stay in a luxury suite, which boasts gold leaf and marble decoration, a 61-inch plasma screen television, Swarovski crystal chandeliers and 24-hour butler service. |

George Michael arrested again |

Superstar George Michael has once again been arrested at a public toilet. This time he was found with crack cocaine in his possession.
The 45-year old singer was arrested in Hampstead Heath on Friday, less than two years after he was previously found slumped over the wheel of his Mercedes and arrested for drug use. He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and banned from driving for two years for that crime.
The singer, who has sold more than 100 million records and is said to be worth more than $200 million openly confesses to using public toilets to solicit sex.

George Michael is reportedly planning a series of special guests at his final two concerts next month.
The singer wraps up his world tour - rumoured to be his last ever - at London's Earls Court Arena and insiders claim he is going to treat fans to several surprise duets, including the possibility of a reunion with former Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley.
A source revealed to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "George is planning a series of surprises for his final shows. |

George Michael Puts Faith In U.S. Tour |

After a 17-year hiatus, George Michael is giving the U.S. touring market one more try. Tickets for his summer outing, which begins June 17 in San Diego, go on sale this weekend.
Michael may also have a hit on his hands in the form of his retrospective album "Twenty Five," released earlier this week via Epic. The set is on course for a top 25 debut on The Billboard 200 chart next week, based on its first day sales on Nielsen SoundScan's Building Chart.
Michael promoted the tour and album today (April 4) on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he called in and offered up a pair of tickets to his June 25 Los Angeles show to everyone in the audience. DeGeneres' Web site is also giving away a pair of tickets to each tour stop. |

George Michael north American tour details |

George Michael is preparing to tour the US and Canada from June 17 this year, kicking off with a Californian show at the San Diego Sports Arena. The north Londoner will hit the road throughout June, July and a couple of dates in August, ending in Florida on the 3rd. The tour will coincide with his greatest hits album, Twenty Five, due out on 1 April (and he ain’t fooling).

Pop star George Michael has been arrested and cautioned after being found once again slumped over the wheel of his car in London and in possession of cannabis, media said on Monday.
The Sun splashed the story that Michael had been arrested across its front page. It was his fourth motoring incident in eight months, including three involving him asleep at the wheel, the newspaper said.
A police spokesman said that a 43-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday, was cautioned by police for having an illegal drug on him and was released on bail pending inquiries on being unfit to drive. |
