The rapper, also known as P Diddy, recently invited the band over to his home in Miami, Florida after revealing that he was a big fan.
Drummer Matt Helders said he initially saw it as a golden opportunity to confront Combs about "stealing" his idea of filming video diaries in swimming pools while on tour.
But he decided to bite his tongue and let the issue go after he heard that not only was Combs a fan, but he wanted to sign them to his label.
And he said he has proof as he recorded the entire meeting on video tape. |

Troy Hicks claims that Diddy's rap group, Boyz N Da Hood, used parts of his track Private Dancer in their 2007 song Table Dance.
Hicks, whose stage name is Rhythum, previously released the song on independent label Real Life Entertainment.
He filed legal papers in a court in Dallas, Texas which name Boyz N Da Hood, Combs's label Bad Boy Records, Atlantic Recording Corporation, and Block Entertainment in the copyright infringement claim. |
