 Shania Twain wanted to 'go away and disappear' following her marriage split.
The country singer – whose 14-year union with Robert 'Mutt’ Lange ended in May 2008 when he embarked on a relationship with Shania’s friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud – is delighted to be the focus of a new reality TV show, 'Why Not? With Shania Twain', as it is helping her 'recover' from her personal problems.
She said: "I feel like in a way I'm starting over, with everything. This is a very personal experience that I think is important to share. This is an experience of recovery. I was in a very deep, dark slump, and I needed to find a way to get myself out of it. I had to force myself back out into life, back out into experiencing things. |

Shania Twain to guest judge Idol |

 Shania Twain is to appear on 'American Idol'.
The country singer has signed up to be a guest judge on the US singing contest, filling Paula Abdul's vacated spot on the judging panel on August 30 and 31.
She will join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for auditions in Chicago, but is not expected to stay on for more episodes.
Paula quit the show over an alleged pay dispute. Since she left, her place on the panel has been filled by former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, hip-hop artist Mary J. Blige and 'I Kissed a Girl' singer Katy Perry. |

 Leona Lewis and Anthony Kiedis have been named the Sexiest Vegetarians of 2008.
The 'Bleeding Love’ singer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman received the most votes in an online poll of fellow vegetarians conducted by animal rights group PETA.
Leona, who hasn’t eaten meat since she was 12, said: "I am totally against animal cruelty. I am vegetarian so I don't have clothes, shoes, or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products. I'm on a mission." |
