 JANET JACKSON has paid a tearful tribute to her Michael who died on Thursday aged 50.
The crowd at the annual Black Entertainment Television Awards fell silent as Jackson strode onstage.
She fought back tears as she said, "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, so they elected me to be here to speak with you.
"To you Michael was an icon. To us, Michael is family and he will forever live in all of our hearts.
"On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, and for all your support. We miss him so much." |

Soulja Boy Signs Rapper, White Tee Now "On Deck" |

 Hip-Hop teen star Soulja Boy Tell 'Em has signed up-and-coming rapper White Tee to his Stacks On Deck (SOD) making him “the first white boy” on the label’s roster.
While in Las Vegas attending the Magic Fashion show, the “Crank That” performer made an official announcement of his latest artist.
“Right now, I want to introduce you to the newest artist of S.O.D. Money Gang Entertainment," he said. "He goes by the name of White Tee, if you ain’t heard of ‘em, you’ve been under a rock. His album is coming. 2009. First single droppin’ at the end of 2008 on iTunes. Get the ring tone.” |

Second Lil Mama Hit Ushers In New Album |

 Having scored a second big hit without the benefit of an album, teenage rapper Lil Mama's debut finally has a release date. "VYP -- Voice of the Young People" will arrive April 29 via Jive.
The set has already spawned the No. 10 Hot 100 hit "Lip Gloss" and this week, second single "Shawty Get Loose" featuring Chris Brown and T-Pain exploded 92-19, the biggest gain on the tally this year. |

Bow Wow Rushed To The Hospital After Concert |

 Bow Wow gave his camp a scare Thursday night when the 20-year-old rapper had to be rushed to a Cincinnati hospital after his concert performance at the U.S. Bank Arena.
Bow is said to be doing well but is still in the hospital undergoing tests. His record company, Sony Music, said in a statement on Friday (December 7) that the young superstar appears to be suffering from "stress and exhaustion."

 Houston rap legend Scarface is slated to drop his latest solo album, M.A.D.E., on December 4. we caught up with the former Geto Boy to talk about his mention on Jay-Z's latest album, hip-hop's bad rap, and why he loves Soulja Boy.
On American Gangster, Jay-Z says he was more negatively influenced by Scarface the movie than Scarface the rapper. Face said he doesn't mind getting the short end of the stick; he's just happy to be mentioned by Hov.
"Sh*t, for him to say me period, f**k that's some big sh*t," Scarface told. "He coulda been easily influenced by New Jack City the movie than New Jack City the rapper. |
