Singer Geri Halliwell wants to bring the five girls’ rags-to-riches story to life on the stage in a two-hour 'pop extravaganza'.
Her former bandmates, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Mel C, are backing the plans after a secret meeting at London’s top restaurant Nobu.
Producer Geri also wants the girls to help her find five unknown actresses to play them in the blockbuster production. |

 The Spice Girls are to play a one-off concert in South Africa.
The group sparked rumours of a reunion last week when four former members – Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton - had dinner together in London and it has now emerged they were discussing plans for a special show to launch the soccer World Cup next year.
Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte have brokered the deal and are keen to press ahead with the plan – even though Victoria Beckham doesn’t want to take part.
A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "Mel is determined to get the girls back together for the World Cup and wants them to plough ahead as a foursome if Victoria doesn't want to take part. |

 Mel B nearly had to go without underwear when she arrived back in the UK.
The star was left without any luggage after she flew from her Los Angeles home to meet with her former Spice Girls bandmates and family last week in her home country.
Luckily, 34-year-old Mel is an underwear model for lingerie company Ultimo, who were able to help her out of her predicament.
She explained: 'Things didn’t get off to a very good start, as I arrived with no luggage and, as a result, no underwear. Luckily, being the face and body of Ultimo I was able to phone them up and get them to send over another set of the new collection to my hotel, which was a lifesaver.' |

Chisholm will replace former X Factor contestant Niki Evans in the role of Mrs Johnstone, and will give her first performance on 26 October at London's Phoenix Theatre. |
